Modular Gondola Systems for Retail

The Branded Shop-in-Shop Concept

Creating distinctive in-store environments is a powerful driver for modern retail. In this case study, CAEM developed a branded shop-in-shop concept for a leading retail chain, integrating planogram optimization, modularity, and strict CAPEX constraints.

The Client

The project involved a retailer with more than 500 stores, each over 2,000 sqm. This chain is a reference point for household goods, accessories, toys, and a wide assortment of lifestyle categories.

The Challenge

Following the introduction of a new personal care range, the category managers needed a fresh display solution. The goal: increase visibility and sell-through while respecting the overall shopping flow and delivering a premium brand experience.

The CAEM Solution

CAEM engineered a modular gondola system and pivoting display towers, designed to maximize planogram execution and merchandising efficiency. The solution delivered flexibility, scalability, and precise execution across hundreds of stores.

Branded Display Environments

To strengthen the shop-in-shop identity, side panels and canopies were added to deliver a sleek, branded look. Integrated communication and subtle lighting accents elevated the merchandise presentation, ensuring consistency across locations.

Stock Replenishment Drawers

Within the shelving structure, CAEM introduced stock replenishment drawers. This design innovation improved operational efficiency, bringing backstock closer to the shelf and reducing replenishment times at the point of sale.
